Job Brief

To oversee all aspects of the spa operations and implement strategies to achieve performance targets. The Role of the Spa Manager is crucial to setting and maintaining consistent standards for the entire spa.  It is also the responsibility of the Spa Manager to create the most successful team, to ensure guest satisfaction and to generate revenue. The Spa Manager must be able to provide a service that is responsible, consistent, personalised and genuine. This requires a very high level of communication and social skills.


The job of Spa Manager is executed satisfactorily when:

  • Supervise daily spa operations and liaise with team to ensure routines, cleanliness, maintenance and service standards are upheld.

  •  Maintain and preserve the Spa’s vision and mission.

  •  Work within established daily, weekly and monthly routines for Spa Managers as well as the spa as a whole.

  •  Ensure the spa’s operating procedures and policies manuals are implemented and updated as required.

  •  Communicate effectively within the spa team as well as with guests and other departments.

  •  Actively work and coach on the floor.

  • Resolve customer’s disputes and/or complaints immediately. 

  • Ensure safety and security for Spa guests and staff. 

  • Efficient maintenance program for the Spa and equipment.

  • Creating and participating in trainings,

  • Hold daily/weekly/monthly staff meetings.

  • Mentor staff for professional growth.

  • Conduct employment evaluations and skill tests.

  • Drive efficient employee scheduling and co-ordination; including vacation planning.

  • Control of first aid standards and procedures.

  • Departmental orientation for new employees and trainees.

  • Ensure uniform standards and proper appearance of all wellness employees.

  • Ensure training on emergency procedures.

  • Handle situations related to privacy of guests and employees with discretion.

  • Design and execute marketing initiatives according to a clearly outlined and well-tracked marketing strategy.

  • Recruit and train staff.

  • Plan and develop short- and long-term strategies for the Spa.

  • Maintain a proactive training schedule.

  • Yearly, monthly, weekly planning and coordination of departments. 

  •  Set monthly goals and follow up on the same.

  •  Research and development of treatments and operational best practices.

  •  Assist with the periodic development and update of the spa menu.

  • Weekly and monthly statistic reports of Spa; follow up and present to staff. 

  • Prepare, implement and update business and marketing plans.

  • Manage the financial budget and forecast, control costs and prepare revenue and expense reports for Director and General Manager.

  • Inventory of supplies, products and equipment. 

  • Ordering new supplies and products.

  • Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business. 


  • Minimum 3 years experience in similar role

  • Certificate/Diploma Administration

  • Excellent Customer Care

  • Excellent Communication Skills and good command of English

  • Good Business acumen
